I am a Machine Learning enthusiastic researcher with background in Mathematics and passion for Computer Science.

I became interested in Machine Learning in 2014, as I discovered that many abstract mathematical objects that I learned during college have very interesting applications to real-world problems.

Since then, I have been working for two years as a Machine Learning researcher at Bitdefender Bucharest, Romania.

Recently I have moved to Cluj-Napoca where I am currently working as a machine learning research assistant at the Romanian Institute of Science and Technology in the Deep Riemann project.

February 2017 - Present:

Machine Learning research assistant at RIST

Sept 2014 - 2017:

Machine Learning researcher at Bitdefender

2013 - 2015:

Master degree in Mathematics at

Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science Bucharest

2010 - 2013:

Bachelor degree in Mathematics at

My main interest is Deep Learning and its applications to generative models (in particular variational autoencoders), reinforcement learning and information geometry.

My goal is to use my mathematical background to ellaborate a more theoretical view towards deep learning and to better understand the true reasons behind the success of neural networks.

I also like to implement and test my ideas! I have experience with Python and Deep Learning libraries, such as Tensorflow and Torch.
